Billing Procedures

During your initial call, our office staff outlines our billing procedures and answers any further questions you may have about the process. We offer free virtual estimates when you email a description of the project and photos to requests@dekorteelectric.com.. At the end of the project, an itemized invoice is provided.

24 Hour Emergency Response

Unexpected and urgent electrical needs can happen at any time, any day of the week. Live receptionists are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to take your emergency calls. Our on-call, licensed Portland electricians are dispatched in fully stocked company vans, ready to diffuse any electrical emergency.

Fully Licensed

DeKorte Electric is fully licensed, bonded, and insured in the state of Oregon. Each of the Portland electricians has earned his or her journeyman electrician license through at least four years of study plus on the job experience. They regularly take the required National Electric Code (NEC) update courses, as well as other continuing education. Entrusted Portland Electricians

All apprentices, journeymen, and signing supervisors have passed a background security check and are drug tested. On the job site, they wear distinct uniforms, so they’re easily identifiable. They keep their work area as tidy as possible during the process, as well as thoroughly cleaning up once finished.

Electrical Permits

DeKorte Electric acquires every required electrical permit and proper inspections for all the electricians' work. If the job is simple enough and qualifies, the electrician will post a minor label permit, saving the customer money.  Otherwise, DeKorte Electric will take responsibility and pull the full electrical permit per Oregon state law. Every electrical job, including most minor repairs, require one of these two permits.
